Fellow Republicans,
By now, we all should have received our ballots and a number of Election Guides. Don’t be fooled—if you look closely, some will look legitimate yet these Guides will throw in a Democrat or two and positions on the Propositions that are absolutely damaging to families, small businesses, and our economy in general. They are sponsored by “phony” organizations that exist just for this election. Look for our Los Angeles County Official Republican Voters Guide which may already have arrived in your email box. You can also check out our LAGOP recommendations on our website (Endorsed Candidates, Ballot Propositions). A simple way to remember the Proposition Recommendations by LAGOP—Vote YES on state Propositions 20 and 22 (Vote NO on the rest of the Propositions).
Because the 2020 elections are so critical, we need to GET OUT THE VOTE NOW in large, even record numbers in Los Angeles County! Please make sure that you, your family, and friends vote NOW so that every vote will count. And once a ballot is turned in and accounted for, candidates can then target sending costly mail pieces only to those who have not yet voted. Remember to win is purely a numbers game—regardless of whether there are more registered Democrats in certain geographic areas in Los Angeles County, we win if a large number of our Republican voters and independents get their ballots in for our great Republican candidates.
The Democrats are still angry that they lost the Presidency in 2016 and they are going to do everything possible to distort, manipulate, and, where possible, “steal” the election. We can't let that happen! We have learned that in 2016 approximately 1% of the votes cast were never counted because they missed the deadline for ballots to be delivered to election officials! We definitely cannot trust the last-minute actions of the Democrats. They are pouring in millions of dollars into local targeted Congressional races and we can’t let them buy this election. We have a number of great candidates, some in targeted races. A top priority is returning Congressman Mike Garcia to Washington after his fantastic win in the May Special Election. We have highlighted a number of wonderful elected officials and strong candidates—check them out on our website.
To ensure that your vote is counted, please do the following:
1.) Vote as early as possible—do not wait until election day!
2.) If you are concerned about problems with the Post Office, personally return your ballot to one of the several local authorized Vote Centers—full list of nearby authorized Vote Centers and their locations can be found at lavote.net.
3.) Before you turn in your ballot register your unique ballot number by using the LA County Registrar's BallotTrax Vote by Mail Status Tool linked here: https://california.ballottrax.net/voter/. After you return your ballot, you can check to see if it was received and counted.
Remember it is not too late to volunteer to help our LAGOP's GOTV efforts. Please contact us at info@lagop.org if you would like to help us or one of our great candidates. And if volunteering is not possible, please consider donating to the Republican Party of Los Angeles County.
