We’re excited to introduce The Boca Park Leaf, the first email newsletter from the City of Boca Raton Recreation Services Department, arriving in your inbox three times a year. Make sure you subscribe and don't miss out on our future issues! The name "Leaf" stands for Learn, Explore, Attend, Fun, reflecting the essence of our newsletter. 


Designed to keep you connected with the pulse of our community, this newsletter offers a sneak peek into the exciting world of recreation in Boca Raton, published in between issues of The Recreator.

Boca Raton’s Public Art program is bringing color, creativity, and conversation to our community with projects like Plastic Poetry, the Reflections of Time Sculpture, and Art on BRiC Walls 2025: Perspective – Beyond the Surface.



Keep an eye out for upcoming installations like the Ode to Boca Mural at Mizner Park Amphitheater, Wildflower Park’s Centennial Legacy Mosaics, and the permanent return of Mi Casa, Your Casa 2.0 at Wildflower Park.

Ring, ring! Discover the Traffic Garden 🚲

Located on the intersection of Jeffrey Street, West of NW 2nd Ave, this charming spot at North Park is perfect for young cyclists eager to learn road safety. This new addition is owned by the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, and it was created in collaboration with the City's Public Works and Engineering team.


Kids can safely learn traffic rules, signals, and how to share the road. Plus, it's completely FREE!


Bring your little bikers, scooter riders, their helmets and watch them gain confidence on the road!

Boca Tierra Park

Boca Tierra Park will soon unveil an exciting new playground! This vibrant addition mirrors the existing playground's amenities while introducing extra shade structures, new benches, and enhanced ADA-compliant features. These improvements aim to create a more inclusive and comfortable space for visitors of all ages. The new playground promises to be a beloved hub for the Boca Tierra neighborhood, fostering both fun and accessibility. It will be completed this Fall.


Gopher Tortoise Nature Preserve

Intersection of Hidden Valley & Dixie Highway

The project is focused on constructing new amenities at the Gopher Tortoise Nature Preserve to enhance the natural wildlife habitat. It aims to provide passive recreation amenities such as natural trails, an ADA-compliant parking lot and walkways, an educational kiosk, and fencing. Additionally, the project includes efforts for invasive species removal, ensuring a healthy and sustainable environment for the preserve's wildlife. This project is expected to be completed this Fall.

Recycle your candy wrappers! 🍬

Did you know that Americans buy over 300,000 tons of candy for Halloween? Those “fun-sized” wrappers end up in landfills or as litter. The City of Boca Raton is partnering with Loggerhead Marinelife Center to make sure wrappers get recycled! Bring your clean candy wrappers to the Boca Raton Public Library, Children's Science Explorium, City Hall, or Gumbo Limbo Nature Center to be recycled. Stop by October 12- November 12. Learn more.
