Families Encouraged to Register by Aug. 8

To help ensure a smooth start to the school year, families are asked to complete registration by Thursday, Aug. 8. Online registration is open for all students. For your convenience, families of new and returning students can complete all required registration forms online.

Here’s what to do:

  • Check your email for detailed instructions sent to you on how to register your student(s).
  • Complete the online registration forms.
  • Upload one of the following documents as proof of residency:
  • A current utility bill (water, electric, or gas) in the resident’s name showing the service address
  • A current lease agreement
  • Be sure your proof of residency is from late June or early July.
  • Submit all forms and documents online by the deadline (more information to come).

We can’t wait to welcome your student for another great year—thank you for taking time to register!

School Supply Assistance - Deadline Aug. 3

If your family is in need of help with school supplies for the 2025–26 school year, the Ray-Pec Cares School Supply Assistance Program is here to help. Supplies will be delivered directly to your child’s school before the first day of class.

To be eligible, families must:

  • Be enrolled in Ray-Pec schools.
  • Apply for free and reduced-price meals (you do not have to qualify—just apply).

Please fill out a separate form for each student in your household who needs supplies. Supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. While we cannot guarantee every item will be available, we will do our best to fulfill the full list.

No sign-up is needed for kindergarten or high school students.

  • Kindergarten: Supplies are covered through the supply fee paid at the school.
  • Grades 9–12: Supply lists are provided on the first day of class. Supplies will be available at the Ninth Grade Center, Ray-Pec High School and the Innovation Academy for students who need them.

A big thank-you to Community Bank of Raymore and the Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation for making this support possible.

District Sets Overnight Shutdown for Student Chromebooks

The Raymore-Peculiar School District is implementing a new procedure to support student well-being by promoting healthier sleep habits. Beginning this school year, district-issued Chromebooks for students in grades 2 through 8 will automatically shut down nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The districtwide practice is intended to reduce late-night screen time and encourage students to get the rest they need to be successful in and out of the classroom.

The automatic shutdown applies only to Chromebooks issued by the district and does not affect students in grades 9-12. High school students will continue to have full access to their devices, though the district encourages families to discuss healthy technology use at home.

The new procedure is part of the district’s broader focus on student health, academic success and responsible digital citizenship.

Meals at Reduced or No Cost

Your child may qualify for free or reduced-price meals for the 2025–26 school year. Complete the application today on the Child Nutrition website page or during online registration.

Families who believe they may qualify are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to avoid meal charges at the beginning of the school year.

  • Only one application per household is required.
  • Even if you qualified last year, you must reapply.
  • Benefits from the 2024–2025 application will carry over only through September 2025.
  • Families are responsible for any meal charges incurred before an application is approved.
