Field Day is an important tradition at Stillmeadow, and this event is a way for the Stillmeadow Community to remain connected and have some fun while we are apart from one another.
What you need to know:
Stillmeadow is registered as a participant in this event. Families may register online as well, but this is not required.
All #NationalFieldDay events are designed to be done at home using common household items. Families do not need to purchase specialized equipment or supplies.
Each week, families will receive a set of event cards that can be used to begin practicing along with a participant practice sheet to track progress.
Your family will be asked to choose at least 4 events to complete on Field Day. However, you may complete as many events as you’d like to.
Stillmeadow's Virtual Field Day is Friday, May 29.
On virtual field day, Stillmeadow families, teachers and staff will participate in events, complete an official score card, and share photos and videos through approved platforms.
After the event, students will submit scorecards to Ms. Anker and Ms. Paolino via Google Drive.
Every student who completes at least 4 events will receive an OPEN National Field Day certificate.
OPEN is a national public service organization that provides curriculum and training support to more than 90,000 teachers in all 50 states.
