We want to extend our gratitude to our amazing new STEM Ambassadors!

The STEM Ambassadors Program is for young people interested in doing outreach to educational groups in their communities. The goal of the program is to give STEM Academy and Boys to STEM Academy alumni training and support to be energy leaders in their communities. 

This past weekend we were able to host students in Chicago and Baltimore as they learned all about becoming STEM leaders for their communities and we look forward to hosting our Philadelphia and DC region students later this month. Thank you to all of our STEM Ambassadors, and we can't wait to see what the school year holds!

Zapping Our Energy Use at Home!

Thank you to everyone who attended our recent STEM Day - Zapping My Energy Use: Energy Efficiency at Home. In this interactive, hands-on session participants had the opportunity to learn how to measure the energy they use at home and strategies for reducing energy.

Participants were sent different tools like Kill-a-Watt Meters, Flow Meter Bags, and more as they explored how to use these in their own homes and combat their energy usage!

Ada Lovelace Day is

October 8th

Ada Lovelace Day is an annual event held on the second Tuesday of October to celebrate and raise awareness of the contributions of women to STEM fields. It is named after mathematician and computer science pioneer Ada Lovelace.

The Candy Catapult!
