WHEN DOES MY DEDUCTIBLE

RESET FOR THE YEAR?

To know when your deductible resets for the year, you will need to reach out to your organization’s Benefit Coordinator because your deductible reset date depends on the type of plan accumulator your group has elected:

  • For groups on a plan year accumulator, your deductible and out of pocket amounts reset on your group’s anniversary date.
  • For those groups on a calendar year accumulator, your deductible and out of pocket will not reset until January 1.

If your Benefit Coordinator is unsure which type of accumulator your group has elected, they can find that information by checking their SBC on TXHB Online. If they can’t find it or have any questions, your Benefit Coordinator can reach out to their Marketing Representative as well.

DID YOU KNOW?

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. If you or someone you know are having concerning thoughts, you can always call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 988. We have upgraded our members’ mental health benefits by removing the cap on visitation limits. Please take care of yourself.

CONGRATULATIONS TO

OUR SURGERYPLUS WINNERS

As you know, we ran a contest in August where 10 members who used SurgeryPlus would win a gift card. We officially have our winners and will be reaching out to them soon to get their rewards.

But don’t worry if you didn’t win a gift card, because EVERYONE who uses SurgeryPlus is a winner! Next time you have an upcoming, non-emergency surgery, call 855-715-1684 and you’ll get access to a TOP-PERFORMING network of surgery centers for our negotiated rates.

WILL I RECEIVE A NEW ID CARD THIS YEAR?

In order to comply with Mental Health Parity, the MDLive copay on ID cards must be updated. We will be printing and mailing new ID cards to you if this would affect your plan.

  • If you have a Classic, Copay, or HMO Plan: you will receive a new medical ID card from BCBSTX around the time your plan renews.
  • If you have a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP): you will not receive a new card unless you made changes to your deductible during open enrollment this year.
  • Regardless of the plan you are on, you will not receive a new Navitus card. The Navitus card you currently have will be your Navitus card for the next plan year.

Only discard your old ID cards once you have received new ones in the mail. Make sure to show your new ID card to your medical provider or pharmacy promptly.
