Drop

Drop to the floor onto your hands and knees.

Cover

Find cover under something sturdy like a table or desk.

Hold On

Hold on to a table leg or desk so you can move with it. Protect your head and neck and hold firmly until the shaking stops.

At ToucanEd, we minimized hazards by strapping bookshelves to walls, securing heavy objects with straps, placing light objects on top shelves, and storing heavy objects on bottom shelves. Then we practiced our earthquake drill.
