RAA&M 29th Annual Hand-painted Holiday Ornament Fundraiser

One-of-a-kind hand-painted treasures by RAA&M Juried Artist Members. $50 donation each. While supplies last! Juried Artist Members have created miniature paintings on 3 ½ x 3 ½ inch masonite panels, provided by the RAA&M. The ornaments include many different forms of expression – holiday scenes, landscapes, seascapes, nocturnes, harbors, animals, still lifes, and more.

Grateful Flow Yoga

Join Treetop Yoga for a special class to give thanks: a Vinyasa Flow Yoga class, centered around the theme of gratitude. In this 90-minute session, we'll flow through a series of poses that open the heart and focus the mind, encouraging a deep sense of thankfulness and appreciation. 

Christmas in the Cove

Come on down and enjoy "Christmas in the Cove" at Pigeon Cove Circle Center! This event will feature local artisans selling hand crafted treasures, a bake and decorating greens sale, a Christmas Past Room, and raffles. Coffee hour with homemade goodies and lunch will be offered. Enjoy the fun!

38th Anniversary - Celebrating the History of Rockport's Annual Tree Lighting

Saturday, November 25 | 10:30 - 11:30 AM


Learn about the history of Rockport's tree lighting ceremony with Jean Woodbury, author of The Tree in Dock Square, as she interviews Mike Costello and Dot Stoffa, who have worked on the tree-lighting since the beginning. A conversation with Mike Costello, former executive director of Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, and Dorothy Ramsey Stoffa, time-honored Emcee and lyricist for "Christmas in Rockport." Joining this panel is Cape Ann prize-winning author of "The Tree in Dock Square," Jean Woodbury. Jean will also make available copies of her book with the proceeds donated to the Friends of the Rockport Library.

Enjoy shopping Crane Beach and Appleton Farm "pop up" shops set up in the decorated first floor gallery of the Great House and browse the Castle Hill Gift Shop. 2nd Annual Gloucester Fishtown Horribles "Parade of Trees"

2nd Annual Parade of Trees event. Last year we brought in over 30 decorated trees and are trying to top that with 45 trees this year. If you're wondering what a parade of trees is, it is a fundraising event where community members, businesses, families, and local groups decorate an artificial tree, wreath or something to resemble a tree (such as a ladder, easel, or a creation of your own) with lights, ornaments, tree skirt and gifts that would make your tree stand out. It could be something as simple as a local gift certificate or fit within a theme such as a beach themed tree where all ornaments and gifts revolve around time spent at the beach.

World War II Tower Tour: Watching the Coastal Edge

One day after the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack, U.S. enhanced defenses with coastal patrols and built a network of watch towers at ocean edges. One tower, completed in 1944, now serves as Halibut Point State Park's newly renovated Visitor Center! We'll provide a guided "tower tour/talk" about Halibut's military history and the then cutting edge technology. Includes an opportunity to climb the five-story tower! Heavy rain/snow cancels.
