Summer Registration Update

We are excited and pleased to announce that using the recommended guidelines provided to us and in communication with the City of West Allis Health Department, we will be offering the programs listed below this summer beginning Monday, July 6th.

Please note:  ALL previously published and scheduled Summer 2020 Activity Guide programs, classes, leagues and events through Friday, July 3rd have been cancelled or modified.

If you enrolled in a Summer 2020 program prior to May 1, 2020, you will be receiving a phone call (June 1st - June 5th ) from an administrative team member to discuss your options.

Although we are unable to move forward with all of our previously scheduled summer programming, we are happy and excited to provide some activities and programs to get you active, engaged and having some FUN! We appreciate your continued patience and understanding at this time. Please know our staff remains committed to serving our community and keeping everyone safe.

Early Childhood 


Reading Rockets, Math Detectives, Science Superpowers and Engineering Explorations

This summer Marissa Meier will be teaching these four youth enrichment classes virtually. Participants that register will be emailed a link to go onto for the class one day prior to the class starting. Materials for the class will be distributed one week prior to the classes beginning. An email and phone call will be made that the materials are ready to be picked up the new Recreation Center at 2450 South 68th Street. Then parent/guardian or participant signed up will have to come to the Recreation Center and upon arrival call the number we will give you and the materials will be brought out to your car.

Classes with adult will be held with only one adult and the participant and no other siblings, guests or spectators.

Classes without adult, the participant will be dropped off at the door where a WAWM RCS Dept. employee will check the participant in and walk them into the class. At the end of the class, the WAWM RCS Dept. will walk the children out to their adults who will have to remain outside.

All participants are asked to bring their own water bottle to class.
We apologize we cannot offer all the classes this summer, however, we are trying to get some classes for the children to participate in. Any questions, please contact Linda Gritzmacher, Program Manager at 414-604-4911.

Youth Enrichment

Adult Enrichment

Check out the new VIRTUAL offerings the WAWM RCS Department has in store for this summer.  Some offerings have been re-formatted to be held virtually and we also have some brand new offerings.  Click below to see what we have going on this summer!   

We will be using Zoom to connect virtually with you from the comforts of your own home.  Not familiar with Zoom, not a problem!  We are happy to help you connect by sending you a tutorial video to help you navigate the program.  Our classes will be secured with a password that will be emailed out to participants at least 1 Business Day prior to the first class date.

Youth Sports

We are able to run our youth sport programs with the following modifications:

Groups of 10 (8 players, 2 instructors)
6 week season (7/6 - 8/14)
Instructional practices (no games)
Players should bring their own equipment when possible, we will provide players with their own ball.  Any shared equipment will be wiped down after each practice.  
Parents should arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled start time and stay in the car until the practice starts.

Adult Fitness

Unfortunately many classes had to get cancelled this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we are still able to offer a few classes and hope you come and enjoy them.
