We invite you with your friends and family to show your support for Tasveer's work. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, where arts based organizations in the Northwest reported $95.9 million loss in overall revenue (ArtsFund, 2022), Tasveer evolved to offer virtual programs with a nationwide reach!

  • launched TasveerTV, a streaming service for independent South Asian Films
  • tripled Tasveer Film Fund for independent artists
  • partnered with Alaska Airlines to showcase South Asian films
  • launched virtual programming that showcased 130+ artists and served thousands of global viewers

The gala will offer opportunities to win exciting prizes. Treasure Chest will be randomly drawn for a winner of 2 tickets to the Seattle Sounders (local soccer team) or a package of beautiful jewelry & accessories. The Last Virtual Hero winner will win 2 tickets by Alaska Airlines!

We invite you to speak your story to nurture your heart and empower your mind!

Community Stories 2022 will be a combination of our legacy programs: Yoni Ki Baat and Community Speaks. In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re expanding our initiative to include all members of our community to speak up and share their stories about mental health and the importance of it's awareness in society.

You do not have to be a writer or performer to participate. We strive to provide a safe space during the preparatory phase, which is characterized by active listening, compassion, non-judgmental attitude, mutual respect, trust, and collaboration. You will be coached and supported in storytelling, writing, and performance through workshops and rehearsals. The workshops, rehearsals, and the programs will all be virtual.

Tasveer co-presents screening of Americanish at the Seattle Asian American Film Festival

Welcome to America: Where dreams come true...ish. A break from the traditional romantic comedy, AMERICANISH highlights different layers of womanhood as they intersect with cultural and societal expectations.

Enter the home and lives of three marriage-aged women as they navigate the often turbulent waters of romance, culture, career, and family. We follow the joys and tribulations of career-driven sisters Maryam and Sam Khan, and their fish-out-of-water cousin Ameera.

AMERICANISH delves into the complexity of trying to both honor and break from cultural traditions while balancing personal values and career goals in a society that does not always accommodate both.
