The Fleet's latest traveling exhibition, Game Masters, opens this weekend! Explore 100+ playable video games and learn about the history and design behind the games. The exhibition features everything from classic arcade games like Asteroids and Space Invaders, all the way up to recent favorites, like Minecraft and Castle Crashers.  Even better, the Fleet is staying open late on Friday nights for maximum gaming fun.

This month's edition of our monthly planetarium show, the Sky Tonight, celebrates the human exploration of space. Learn about our first trip to the moon and the spacecraft that flew through the rings of Saturn. This will be our Comic Con tie-in event, so costumes are encouraged.  Get up close to the wonders of our universe!
science Summer Camps

There are still a couple spots left to register for the Fleet's Science Summer Camps. Sign your kids up for Body Basics to learn about the human body inside and out, Mars Explorer to search for life on the red planet or Women Scientists in Action to interact with local women scientists and investigate careers in science. Kids can also learn about computer programming and electrical engineering in the ThoughtSTEM Computer Science Camps. Sign up today! 

The  Summer Inquiry Institute  is a workshop for teachers to use hands-on experiences as a foundation for science inquiry. Participants will examine different approaches to hands-on learning, engage in scientific inquiry, explore NGSS practices and consider ways to include inquiry in their own classrooms. This program is based upon the Fundamentals of Inquiry program developed by the Exploratorium. Sign up in advance!

The Fleet is filled to the brim with events for 21+ science enthusiasts in July. There is  Suds & Science  on July 10, with a discussion on the latest findings in cancer research. On July 13, the Fleet sends scientists out to bars all over San Diego county for  Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar The Fleet also partners with the Museum of Man for Brew-Asana on July 20.  This event explores the science of yoga, beer and the body and includes a flow class and beer tasting.  Meet your friends out for science and a beer!
