Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand,
To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;
To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
To execute on them the written judgment - This honor have all His saints.
Praise the Lord!” Psalm 149:5-9 NKJV
Get your praise on!
In 2020, praising may be the last thing you’re inclined to do.
But again I say, get your praise on!
Praising may sound crazy, considering everything that’s happened this year: racist murders; injustice and turmoil; election drama; as well as COVID-19 – the lives we’ve lost, those still suffering from the disease; and the economic turmoil that has ripped through so many lives and communities.
But in times of tragedy, those who belong to Christ understand that praise is how we fight, and praise is how we win.
When life knocks us down, we get up through our praise! When we praise the Lord, and refuse to let up, He moves for us. He overrides the facts of a situation to reveal the truth of Who He is – the I AM – for us. When we glorify Him through our praise, it paves the way for Him to show Himself strong and empower us on every level, for all that we need!
We've seen how satan has worked hard this year not only to steal lives, but to kill the faith of Christians. But those who belong to Christ have a choice. We can let our faith waste away, or we can bite down on the truth of our spiritual authority over every adversity like a pit bull and never let go!
In Christ, through our praise, we can tell satan to step off!
In Christ, we can decide not to let hopelessness, anger, anxiety, panic, suicide or any other deadly thing have us.
The Holy Spirit within us gives us the power to fight with praises in our heart and in our mouths; with our praises acting as swords attacking the demonic forces sent against us.
As David did, command your soul to bless the Lord! Get your praise on, with the expectancy no matter what the challenge, the I AM will reveal Himself as I AM to you, give you peace and wisdom, and equip you to reign in victory!
Blessings,
Minister Ann Pinkney
