Hope-Mongering parent/caregiver support sessions

This month:

Get to know Type 1 Unbound!

Type 1 Unbound is a new non-profit that is hosting regular youth-focused meet-ups for the Portland/Vancouver area T1D community. These events include adventurous things like water skiing and rock climbing, family outings like trips to museums and the pumpkin patch, and low-key things like playing board games, Lego, and doing art workshops. There is something for every kind of kid.

Type 1 Unbound sees these events as a way for kids to build new life-long friendships, be encouraged by other kids who know what it's like, and for families in our community to have more opportunities to bond and share the weight.

Join us to learn more about Type 1 Unbound and ask questions. Check out the events that they have coming up at Type1Unbound.org.

About Hope-Mongering:

Each month we recruit an array of key voices to host a series of conversations: parents, young adults who grew up with T1D, health coaches, educators, dietitians, T1D doctors and nurses, and of course the GCC summer camp crew. It's a magic formula for conversation on raising a young person with T1D. We'd love for you to join us and add your voice, or just sit back and listen. Feel free to bring topics or questions.
