Residence Conduct Corner: Shared Space Etiquette
Living in Residence can take some adjustment. We are all responsible for ensuring our residences are safe and welcoming. Here are some tips on living with a roommate or canmate:
- Be courteous and uphold the roommate/canmate agreement you made when you first moved in. If you need support with your roommate/canmate agreement, connect with your Residence Don.
-
Remember, you’re responsible for your guests. Guests must follow the community standards outlined in the Residence Contract and the guidelines established in your community agreement. This means respecting other students’ privacy and living spaces, using the public washroom in your building, and ensuring they aren’t disruptive to your community.
- Let’s keep our shared spaces clean! Remember to dispose of your room and food garbage in the designated garbage room in your building and not in your washroom or other common spaces!
