Co-owners Ted Tyler & Pixley Tyler Hill honored as Vermont's
2015 Restaurateurs of the Year
Some of you may know that the Tyler family has put an incredible amount of time and effort into the re-establishment of our sister property in the Killington area, the Red Clover Inn & Restaurant, as one of Vermont's finest restaurants.
Their efforts, and those of the dedicated Red Clover staff, were recognized by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce at the Vermont Travel Industry Conference earlier this month.

by Ted Tyler
The initial name given to our property was Missisquoi Farm and indeed it was (in major part) a working dairy farm from 1933 through World War II. At that time there were more than 10,000 dairy farms in Vermont. Today there are less than 900. However, the average herd has increased hugely in size, milk production per cow has more than doubled, so that there has been little change in the State's output of milk.
Ben and Jerry's - Vermont's signature product, right? Well, not really. It's owned now by Unilever. (The Tyler Place switched to Island Ice Cream, delicious and a Vermont owned and operated outfit. The "Island" refers to Grand Isle in the middle of Lake Champlain - and our next-door county.)
