Subsidized Camp Reaches Kids in Need Thanks to our generous ArtReach sponsors
We're gearing up to welcome 53 children ages 5 - 11 to our fully subsidized ArtReach camp. From August 13 to 17, the kids will dive into their imaginations and learn new skills in a variety of visual and performing arts classes. At the end of the week, friends and family are invited to drop by for Friday Fun Day where they will surely be impressed by the kids' creative output!
Thanks, in part, to our generous sponsors, Place des Arts is able to offer this annual week-long camp at no cost to in-need families. The camp includes all classes and supplies, a healthy meal program and is supported by an Education Assistant to enhance accessibility for students and their families.
Big thanks to our 2018 ArtReach sponsors!

Meet our Theatre for Life Teacher
Theatre artist Laura Drummond joins our team!
Laura Drummond believes in creating a safe, welcoming, connected and supportive environment full of fun and activity where individuals can grow, take risks and bring their best selves. Sounds pretty great to us, and that's why we're thrilled to welcome her to our theatre arts faculty for the 2018/19 season to teach our new
Theatre for Life class for ages 50+!
Laura is an accomplished actor, facilitator and teacher who has been teaching classes for young people and adults that are geared towards those who have never taken drama before or who are, perhaps, shy or nervous about the idea. She says, "It is a joy to see the growth in the students' confidence and skills and the sense of connection to each other that develops. I am really excited to bring that same dynamic to the
Theatre for Life students."
We had a chat with Laura to find out more about her and what people can expect from her Theatre for Life class. Interested? Read more here!
