This month at Place des Arts we are bringing back our family day event and our adult-only art nights!

We are excited to welcome back our Family Days this month! |

For the past two years, we've not been able to hold our drop-in Family Day events. This Sunday, February 6, we are happy to announce they are coming back, but they look a little different.
Session 1: 2:00 – 2:45 pm
Session 2: 3:00 – 3:45 pm
Tour our exhibitions, then create your own masterpiece based on the content and mediums in the exhibitions.

Adult-only event: Campfire Art and Coffees |
|
On February 11 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, enjoy an evening of cozy artmaking to warm up your winter! Visual arts instructor Cara Bain will guide you through a campfire painting from beginning to end to ignite your creativity. In the comfortable setting of Place des Arts, drink scrumptious coffees, socialize in a relaxed environment and paint the evening away! No experience is necessary.
Tickets are $26/person or 2 for $42 (+ GST)
No-host cash bar available with a selection of beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks.
Please note: Place des Arts will be operating in accordance with the most recent Provincial Health Order (PHO). Please familiarize yourself with our safety plan and keep track of the changes from the British Columbia website here before purchasing tickets, as proof of vaccination and masks may be a mandatory requirement. Place des Arts will do our best to inform you of any changes.

By participating in the arts, you can develop many important skills and attributes that can benefit all aspects of your life.

- Cancelling our North Shore Celtic Ensemble Workshop (Jan 30)
- Cancelling our upcoming Janina Russell & Mr. I’s Musical Rainbow Valentine’s Concert (Feb 13)

VMF Winter Arts
February 11 - February 27, 2022 | Various Times and Locations
This is a free outdoor festival transforming downtown Vancouver into an open-air gallery and celebration featuring Augmented Reality (AR) art, light installations and live entertainment. VMF Winter Arts is designed to inspire joy and creativity, connect communities, encourage outdoor activity, and support local businesses and artists, while enabling social distancing and a safe, welcoming outdoor space for all.
Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival
Until February 14, 2022 | Restaurants and Cafes throughout Vancouver
Enjoy a warm cup of cocoa this month! There are so many fantastic and unique options from a variety of cafes around Vancouver. This year there are 39 participants and 87 different types of hot chocolate to choose from! I'll be grabbing a few over this month.
All drinks will be available as takeout.
