Dear Reader,
The Fall starts a very busy time of year for the Co-Op!

I am reaching out for your assistance as follows, please:

Can you refer "ready for growth companies" to me who recognize the economic impact of the period "Green Wednesday to Cyber Monday?"

Can you recommend a charity to contact me that is registered as 501 (c) (3) with a logo, web site and excellent reputation?

Can you refer organizations and individuals to me who are keeping Houston such a dynamic community to start/grow a business.

Give me a call, connect on Skype, send me an email or meet me at Corner Bakery Cafe, 9311H Katy Freeway (I-10 W at Echo Lane), 7:30 to 8:30 AM any Wednesday and we'll talk further.

Former and current Associates, join me behind the lectern for the 4 events just mentioned and let me know which dates/positions you want.

Successful regard$,

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY SEPTEMBER 29TH
1829
The Industrial Revolution has made a big city even bigger, and London needs to beef up its law enforcement. To that end, Robert Peel organizes the Metropolitan Police near Great Scotland Yard, and it's a decidedly less military, and more civilian, force that patrols sans firearms.
1954
It's Game 1 of baseball's World Series and Cleveland Indians' batter Vic Wertz hits a fly ball 450 feet into centerfield where the New York Giants' Willie Mays is there to catch it. Over his shoulder. And with his back to home plate. 'The Catch' will live on in baseball lore.
1954
Judy Garland and James Mason star in a musical remake of a 1937 film. 'A Star Is Born' will be remade again in 1976 with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. The third remake, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, will be released in October 2018 and go on to win an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
1995
Seven years after his death at 44 from cancer, activist Willie Velasquez is granted the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Prominent in the Hispanic labor and voting rights movements, Velasquez was a founder of the Mexican American Youth Organization and the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project, and helped popularize the United Farm Workers' cause.

"Recognized as an industry leader and pioneer in small business incubation" by the National Business Incubation Association and as "One of Houston's core entrepreneurial groups" by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and "Ranked the #1 new business development group in Houston" by Houston Proud!

We are a not-for-profit cooperative association of independent
business owners for market expansion, business development,
entrepreneurial education and professional growth.

We were created from a priority research project of the Houston Chamber of Commerce in the late 1970's on the importance of start-up and emerging small businesses. We brought you Houston's first small business incubator, which became Texas' oldest, the first co-working space in Texas, the first Womens Business Center in the United States and the first Residency Incubator and first Virtual Accelerator Program in the World. Our clients have ranged from pre-start-ups to the largest companies in the United States! We clearly demonstrated that entrepreneurship could be taught, that business plans were not a requirement for a successful business, that women were starting businesses at a faster rate than men and that entrepreneurship was color-blind and gender neutral. Our start-ups have won virtually every award in Houston for business growth, some nationally, some even internationally and some of our established client companies are now household names in Houston. We operate entirely without grants, gifts, donations or public funding. We don't have our hand out and are NOT your tax dollars at work! We are totally self-sufficient!

We grow companies, build careers and advance ideas!
