As fall brings beautiful weather and a much-needed break from the heat, FMC has several ways you and your family can get outdoors, connect with others, while strengthening your faith.

First, we invite you to join us for a family-friendly Costume Parade and Movie Night on Friday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m. Dress up in your best costumes for a spooktacularly fun parade and a drive-in movie showing of Monsters, Inc.! We will be passing out a treat bag to each child with a conversation card parents can use to talk with their kids about the movie and how God loves and protects them.

The parade will start at 6:15 p.m. and the movie will be shown at sunset. Arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. to claim your parking spot. Feel free to decorate your vehicle with child-friendly Halloween decorations to add some festive flare. We will also ask everyone to keep an open parking spot in-between your vehicle and others for social distancing. The event will take place in the north side parking lot and anyone from the congregation is invited to participate! To find out more information or to reserve your parking spot, click here

Second, it’s still not too late to get plugged into Life Groups in the Park happening on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Last week we had a great turnout for our first meet up! The kids enjoyed burning off steam on the playground and the adults enjoyed, well, some much needed adult conversation about life and faith. This week we’ll be at John Burge Park in north Conroe. To mix things up we are also going to have some fun social events, including a Family Kickball Game on October 28th at the church sport’s field. To find out where we’ll be each week and learn how to get connected, click here

Lastly, we invite families with children to try out our recently re-opened Kids Worship at 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. Our teenagers are invited to get connected to youth group on Sunday Nights at 5:00 p.m. Families who prefer to engage online can do so with our virtual Kids Worship resources or virtual groups for students.

These are just some of the new ways your family can get connected more deeply into the life of the church this Fall. Whether it’s in-person or online, we hope you will continue to pursue Jesus with others at FMC.

In Christ,

Bryan Moore
Family Pastor at First Methodist Conroe
