Happy Thanksgiving

This time of year we all gather around to give thanks to the many blessings around us. We are so thankful for the vendors and customers at the Mississippi Farmers Market. We try so hard to promote farmers and agriculture throughout our our state and it is you that makes the biggest difference. This holiday as you sit down at your table we hope some part of it came from the market and that you feel good about what you are eating. As we head into the busy holiday season rest assured that the Mississippi Farmers Market will continue to provide the freshest in season food, baked goods, salsas and jellies and quality works of art from our vendors. Again, thank you for making our market so special.
It's the first ever "Merry Market" at the Mississippi Farmers Market

We will be hosting “Merry Market” on Saturday, December 11th. There will be a food truck, vendor giveaways, complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn, Santa and much more.
Mississippi Christmas trees

When trying to find the perfect Christmas tree this season, look no further than Mississippi’s 32 Christmas tree farms.
Every year, Mississippi’s Christmas tree farms grow thousands of Christmas trees, from the popular Leyland cypress to the Eastern redcedar. These farms provide a festive atmosphere where families create fond memories and start family traditions.

DON'T FORGET:
The Mississippi State Fairgrounds will host the inaugural Standing for American Freedom event inside the Mississippi Coliseum on Sunday, December 5, at 5:30 p.m. in recognition of the 80th attack on Pearl Harbor, which will be observed nationwide on December 7th.
