A community group for independent figure drawing from a live model, held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Please be sure to register early! We will use the registration list to determine whether the group can run and if we may hire a model for the day. This is a figure drawing group, not an instructional class. In a series of events over the course of 3 months, WordXWord is asking poets of any age, style, or experience to apply their creative energy to three fraught words - diversity, equity, and inclusion. Obviously these words have a wide range of applications other than the uses currently under pressure. The first event in the series is DIVERSITY on April 8. This is your invitation to help celebrate DIVERSITY.

The categories of the questions can rotate weekly by will include things like arts and entertainment, history, sports, literature, geography, etc. There are six rounds of the game with 5 questions in each round which are worth one point each. The game ends with a bonus round with one question worth 5 points. In the event of a tie there will be addition rounds to act as a tie breaker.

BE A MAKERS MARKET VENDOR!
First Fridays at Five

Local artisanal vendors who make their own handmade products are welcome to apply! There will be a Makers Market from 5 to 8 pm on May 2, June 6, August 1, and September 5 outside on North Street.
Booth Fees:
$35 per month if you pay as you go.
$120 for the whole season of 4 if you pay in advance.
Vendors are responsible for their own tables, tents, and set-up.

First Fridays at Five

The Family Fun Zone features free, interactive activities from local non-profit organizations such as face-painting, arts & crafts, games, and more. The activity you offer must be an interactive family activity (there must be an activity - not just a giveaway) and the activity must be offered to all free of charge. There will be a Family Fun Zone from 5 to 8 pm on May 2, June 6, August 1, and Sept. 5 outside on North St.
