Zines! Zines! Zines!

We're super excited to co-host the very first Squamish Zine Fest with Squamish Arts on April 5th!

We'll also be launching our brand-new Zine Collection at the event. You won’t want to miss it!

🎉 What’s a Zine Fest?

Squamish Zine Fest is a free community event at the library celebrating zines, their makers, and DIY culture. Expect to meet talented zinesters showcasing, selling, and swapping their work.

If you’re a zine maker, our call for submissions is open until March 17th.

💡 Ok, but what is a Zine?

A zine (pronounced “zeen”) is a DIY, low-budget, self-made, small publication, that is not created solely for commercial profit. Zines can amplify underrepresented voices, challenge the cultural mainstream, and take many forms, from personal reflections to comics to social commentary.

🖌 Want to make your own zine?

Leading up to Zine Fest, we’re hosting two awesome zine-making workshops:

If you’re curious about zines, this is the perfect time to dive in! Sign up for a workshop, spread the word, and get ready to get creative.
