From the
Director's Desk...
|
You know I often write these columns in advance. This month I wasn't able to get to it until much later than I like, but I have a good defense. I was sick for 4 whole days with a fever. I'm over it now, and this month is promptly rolling to an end which means that I have to write something about September. To me, September has always been a month of new beginnings. This is probably because when I was young school usually started in September.
I liked school, I got to see friends I hadn't seen all summer, I got to check books out of the school library, and I got to get lost in the yard, or somewhere quiet at home, after homework was done, and read, read, read. Heaven to me!
Come on into CPL. See what new beginning awaits you! Even though Summer Reading has barely faded from memory, there's always something new to spark your interest. Just check us out!
