President (1-Year Term)

Stephanie Mumford Brown : A member since 1998, Stephanie has served four years as our chapter's Communications Director, where she has been responsible for email communications, website maintenance, and social media presence.

Stephanie also serves as co-captain of the Capital Hills Thursday league, handling player performance statistics. In 2017, she initiated the chapter's PlayARound program of casual-play sessions. In 2018, she received the chapter's Founders Award for volunteer service.

For several years Stephanie has been writing posts for the LPGA Women's Network and the  Times Union  golf blog. After 25 years as a partner in a marketing firm, she recently began a new venture, Wiseacre Press, which aims to publish advice/memoir books that provide "the missing manuals for midlife."

Stephanie believes her work as a board member is not yet done, and that she can play a meaningful role in carrying forward the development of the chapter in its affiliation with the LPGA Foundation. "I view our chapter as a virtual golf club, providing members with everything from leagues and tournaments to informal playing and socializing opportunities," she says. "We have a great 'product,' and I'd like to see us attract more 'customers' while ensuring we continue to do a good job providing the services that retain our current members."
Finance & Records Director (2-Year Term)

Katie Vitello:  Katie has been an LPGA Amateurs member since 2015 and has served as the chapter's Finance & Records Director since 2017. She is captain of the Capital Hills Thursday league and a member of the Orchard Creek league.

Katie holds a master's degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has 12 years of experience in governmental accounting, working for the State University of New York system.

During her term as Finance & Records Director, Katie has helped move the chapter forward by simplifying many aspects of financial reporting, including linking our PayPal and Stripe accounts to QuickBooks to automate the recording of transactions. She also developed the Sub Central system, including the league signup sheets and automated email notifications to Super Subs for new sub openings. She hopes to continue to find new ways to use technology to improve the chapter's operations.

"I've found my experience serving on the Board to be greatly rewarding and enjoyable," she says, "and I hope to be elected for a second term."
Membership Director (2-Year Term)

Christine Kelly Powers: Christine joined the chapter in 2006 has been active in leagues at Mill Road Acres, Fairways of Halfmoon, Stadium, Western Turnpike, and Schenectady Muni, often playing in two leagues during the same season. She served as captain at Mill Road (2009-11) and co-captain at Stadium (2013-15). She has also volunteered at or co-chaired various events over the past 13 years and has enjoyed being an enthusiastic participant.

Chris retired from Xerox in 2002. She is a past president of the Auxiliary Board of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and earlier filled various board positions over a 13-year period.

Chris feels that LPGA Amateurs and its predecessor, EWGA, have played a large part in her life since she moved to the area from Webster, NY. Her main reason for running for the board is to give back to our chapter by volunteering and spreading her enthusiasm for the LPGA Amateur Golf Association.

"My goal as the Membership Director is to further promote volunteerism," she says. "I will encourage and call upon our members to seek out and volunteer for jobs and activities that they excel in, or are interested in, so that we can take advantage of the many talents our members bring to our organization. We have a vital chapter that we should be proud of, and without the many willing volunteers each year, our organization would cease to be here for future women who love the game of golf!"
Communications Director (2-Year Term)

Susan Delanoy : Sue has been a chapter member since 2000 and has held a variety of positions in keeping with the chapter's initiatives, including promoting women in golf. Her board positions from 2010 onward include secretary, vice president, president, and Communications Director. Earlier volunteer activities include assisting the membership chair, Van Patten league captain, running the Chapter Championship, and volunteering for the Spring Kick-Off and Annual Dinner.

Sue's other community activities include serving as treasurer for the Northeast Women's Golf Association, church treasurer and Sunday School teacher, Ballston Spa Ladies' Golf Association president, Ballston Spa league captain, sponsor of Little League and Babe Ruth teams, Shaker Ridge Country Club Interclub captain, and volunteering at retirement homes. Before retiring in 2016, she supervised at least 10 people in each of her information technology management positions, as well as during her tenure as director of a drug and alcohol abuse treatment tenter, and also served as an instructor at the Capital District Psychiatric Center.

"I have had a cheerleader approach to every position I have held in this chapter," she says, "because I care about what happens, I care about our future, and I want to continue to actively support the influential, inspiring women who continue to protect this chapter."
