The Holiday season is over and the New Year brings much opportunity to improve our community. HCC would like to bring a special awareness to National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week, coming up January 22nd to the 27th.

HCC would like to recognize members for their great contributions!    For the month of January, HCC would like to recognize Ashley Hawley as a valued member and volunteer to the coalition!  Ashley is one of the newest members of the coalition, and since she has joined, has shown such dedication to the HCC Vision and Mission.  She expresses a positive influence and great willingness to volunteer for various projects and initiatives. Ashley will also be one of the representatives for HCC at the National CADCA Forum this year!

Parenting is one of the hardest jobs there is. One thing that helps is being prepared, especially when it comes to those challenging conversations children tend to bring up at the least opportune time. Why not prepare for them ahead of time? Be proactive and consider conversations you can have to prepare your children to make decisions on their own. We're doing a MOCK BEDROOM at February's HCC Meeting on February 7th. Please invite someone new to come to our meeting with you!

The HCC Video Contest Deadline is Extended

 Please encourage students to participate in the #HCCBeDrugFreeVideo Contest! Please help support this contest in an effort to encourage youth to speak out against substance use.There will be random prize drawings prior to the contest deadline for early submittals! Vaping Posters
...Available to go to schools in our county
Vaping has become a dangerous trend among youth that has been recognized around Cattaraugus County. Please help to educate youth on vaping! If you would like one or both of these posters to display in your agency, please contact  testright@councilonaddiction.org to request.
