Pulse on Power

To our members,

I hope this note finds you well and filled with energy for the exciting journey ahead. As we venture into the realm of shaping our energy future, I wanted to provide you with an update on our ongoing Power Supply Transition.

Our departure from Tri-State on April 1, 2026, marks a pivotal moment in our organization's history. It's a step toward greater autonomy and the ability to tailor our energy solutions to meet the unique needs of our community. As we navigate this transition, it's imperative that we keep a firm pulse on power – understanding our options, evaluating potential partners, and charting a course that ensures reliability and affordability for our members.

I'm pleased to inform you that our dedicated staff has begun the evaluation process of possible power providers. We've identified potential partners, whose names must remain confidential at this stage because of the competitive nature of the process. These partners represent a spectrum of possibilities, and our goal is to explore each option thoroughly to determine the best fit for LPEA. Throughout the selection process our priority will remain the same: securing a reliable and sustainable energy supply for our community.

In the coming weeks, we'll be reviewing the details of each proposal and delving into the details of each proposal. The Board of Directors will play a crucial role in this process, performing an initial review of the proposals at the May 22 board meeting in executive session. Their insights and guidance will be invaluable as we navigate this complex terrain.

Throughout this journey, communication with you, our members, will be paramount. We are committed to keeping our members as informed as we can, while protecting confidential information, every step of the way and look forward to engaging you as we gather more information. Together, we have the power to shape a brighter, more sustainable future for LPEA and the communities we serve.

Regards,

Graham Smith

Interim CEO

Celebrate National Lineworker Appreciation Month

We are proud to celebrate National Lineworker Appreciation Month, recognizing the dedication and hard work of the lineworkers who play a crucial role in powering our communities. With safety as their paramount concern, lineworkers navigate through challenging conditions including snowstorms, lightning, wind, rain, and extreme heat or cold. We encourage community members to show their support for lineworkers by saying “thank you” if you see them out in the field or by using the hashtag #ThankALineworker on social media and taking a moment to express gratitude for their hard work and dedication.
