2023 MIC Intern Highlights

Jared Turner

  • School/Year/Major: Colorado State University – Fort Collins, CO., Senior in Mechanical Engineering
  • Why MasTec Industrial?:I wanted to Intern here at MasTec because of their broad industry involvement from industrial to Energy to Power Generation.
  • What do you hope to learn during your internship?: I hope to learn how to think more of the business side of engineering and how a project is constructed and to gain a lot of experience.
  • What have you found the most interesting so far?: An interesting thing that I have learned so far is how not everything on a project is going to perfectly work the way it was designed but that is where it is up to us Field Engineers to find solutions to make the construction process as smooth as possible.
  • Hobbies: I like to work on cars, go fishing, and hang out with friends whenever I have time.
