Spring has Sprung at Girls Inc.

Ambassadors Club combating Period Poverty in our community

What is period poverty? It's a lack of access to menstrual products, education, hygiene facilities, and/or waste management, and it affects an estimated 500 million people worldwide. Our Ambassadors Club is gathering supplies to create 300 Period Kits to distribute to local schools, shelters, and youth centers. VIP Styling with Macy's

Our girls got the VIP treatment last week! Our friends at Macy's Northeast (Roosevelt Mall) in Philadelphia gave a group of our participants the full glam experience—complete with makeup tutorials, personal styling, and giveaways. Everyone had tons of fun getting ready for their next formal event.

Faina (AKA Fay) from our Ambassadors Club was all smiles at the Philadelphia Union League where she was a recipient of the Good Citizenship Award. This award comes right on the heels of another star moment for Fay—she was one of our fabulous speakers at the Strong, Smart, & Bold Celebration the night before! Congratulations, Fay!
