T.A.L.K. More

with 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline!

All September long, we’re asking you to T.A.L.K. (Take Action with Love and Kindness) More to save lives. This week, we encourage you to educate yourself and others about 988, the national Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. See below for two quick ways to take action!

1. Spread the Word About 988

988 is the new three-digit code that offers 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors who can help people having mental health-related distress. People can call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org for themselves or if they are worried about a loved one who might need crisis support.

  • Then, share these videos on your social media accounts (tag #TALKmore22) so that others can learn!

In addition to crisis counseling, 988 also provides resources focused on specific groups' unique needs. Check out 988’s “Help Yourself” page and find vital information on youth, veterans, attempt survivors, Black mental health, maternal mental health, and much more.

  • Then, check out the information on that topic and share out one thing you learned on social media using the hashtag #TALKmore22!
