I attended General Convention as a visitor in 2006 when Katharine Jefferts Schori was elected presiding bishop. I look forward to meeting and working with other deputies in the legislative process. 

Favorite Hymn:  I Am the Vine

Favorite Bible Passage: Jeremiah 29:11 “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”

Favorite Church Season:  Advent

Pets:  I have a Japanese Chin dog named Puzzle.

This will be my second General Convention. I look forward to being involved in the work of the wider church, to inspiring worship, and to reunions with friends from across the entire Episcopal Church, as well as some great barbeque in Austin.

  • Liturgy & Music (Book of Common Prayer and Hymnal revisions, musical resources, regularization, gendered language, marriage task force, trial use liturgies, translations for Chinese and Spanish use)
  • Evangelism (bi-vocational clergy, formation, small church leadership, mission strategy, racial reconciliation, useful metrics)
  • Care of Creation (climate change, environmental justice, water, energy policy)
  • International (Haiti, Cuba, Palestine/Israel, refugees and migration, nationalism)
  • Social Justice (gender wage equity, transgender dignity, racial justice, immigration, voting rights, DACA/Dreamers, deportations, sanctuary cities, addictions)
  • Governance (interim bodies strategy, Program, Budget and Finance resolutions on funding, Constitution and Canons, Title IV- Safeguard, Church Pension Fund, stewardship)
