Mike Russ Schools offers the 60-Hour CTEC Course as an online/home study course!

In California, to prepare taxes for a fee you must be registered with CTEC. To become licensed through CTEC (California Tax Education Council) you must first complete the 60-Hour pre-licensing course. After completing the 60-Hour course you will be able to register with CTEC and become a registered tax preparer.

To complete the 60-Hour CTEC Home Study (online) course, you must complete the required reading lessons, the corresponding quizzes and the Final Exam. Once you complete the course and pass the final exam, you can register with CTEC.

**Note: This is the 2022-23 version of the course and must be completed by 3/31/23 to receive credit.
