Brides tend to fall in different categories: rustic, modern, classic, and GLAM! A glam bride wants a wedding full of sparkle and grand design. From decor to accessories, there are so many ways you can have a glamorous affair. First, wow your guests with your wedding venue! A barn isn't the best scenery for a glam wedding. You're more likely to gravitate towards a downtown hotel or warehouse that will add an ambiance of luxury. Here are some of our favorite venues for a glam wedding:


One of the easiest ways to bring a little pizzazz to your wedding day is in your gown. The gown featured above is from our frie nds at Studio I Do and is great for a bride that wants to shine and WOW their guests. The jewels on the bodice and ethereal skirt were dramatic and fit the glamorous wedding style perfectly. Glam it Up With Rentals

A simple or understated space can be a great canvas for your glam rentals. You can really transofrm a space with the right rentals. A glamorous wedding isn't the time for understated linens or simple floral arrangements. Now is the time to really go overboard. Lots of glitter! Lots of sparkle! A glam bridal look doesn't have to mean an over-the-top gown. It can be a simple, satin gown accessorized with sparkly details. Or both! Shoes adorned with glitter or jewels, a veil with diamonds, and/or jewelry that is big and sparkly can really bring the glitz to your bridal look. Ask your bridal salon what accessories they have.

When your guests walk into your reception space, you want them to be WOWED and the best way to do that is with lighting and over the top centerpieces. Tall vases, mirrors, roses in deep colors or bright whites, and everything sparkly will really create a beautiful space. Your florist can add hanging jewels to your floral arrangements. Candles also add a romantic feel to the space. In the photo above, the mirrored tables, tall gold centerpieces, and candles truly create a glamorous and romantic vibe.

An Engagement Session Full of Glam

If you're looking for a more understated wedding day, you can bring glam to your engagement session! A beautiful gown for the bride to be, a tux or sharp suit for your groom, and the perfect venue will really bring the glitz to your session. Ask your photographer about some interesting downtown or chic venues where you can take photos. 

A glamorous engagement session is also the perfect way to set the stage for your glitzy wedding day. You can practice your hair and makeup for the day, get a feel for your makeup artist's style and see if they're a good match for you. And decide how you want to wear your hair. Maybe for your engagement session you want big curls and smokey eye makeup, but for your wedding day you want an updo and more subtle makeup. This is the perfect time to experiment with styles to see what you like.
