Tree Tie-Down
Are you starting to dream about orchards of fruit-laden tree branches? Our teams are busy at work, preparing our Asian Pear trees for just that in the growing season ahead! Twine knotted onto the ends of the tree limbs is used to pull them from a vertical position into a more horizontal stance. This process, called tree tie-down, is like raising the window shades in your home, allowing the sunlight to stream into the trees inner branches. This added sunlight makes for even healthier, more delicious, fruit. Click to watch a short video of our orchard team in action!
