Common Sense Media has published an educator toolkit on SEL with advice for teachers on how to learn more about competencies like empathy, identify activities and tools for the classroom, and discover ways to involve families in SEL learning. It includes an ebook on technology and SEL , resources for families, student worksheets, and more .  
Tool: Effective SEL Communication Strategies for Your District
Clear, ongoing communication helps build awareness, promotes SEL in classrooms and schools, and makes the case for investing in SEL. This tool, developed by Collaborative Communications, provides steps for developing a four-step multimedia SEL outreach plan (login required).
Funding Opportunity: Effective School Practices to Support the Whole Child
The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) invites applications from U.S.-based teams of schools, support organizations, and/or researchers who want to apply the science of learning and human development to improve existing school-based practices that develop self-direction and curiosity, specifically in adolescents (age 11-18 years old). CZI is looking for practices that go beyond standalone interventions and are integrated into core school structures, including teaching and learning, school culture and climate, mentoring/advisory, and/or professional learning.   Learn more

Transforming Education has published the fifth and final paper about lessons learned from its work with the Boston Charter Research Collaborative, exploring how to integrate social and emotional learning into teacher practice. The paper focuses on how researchers can facilitate convenings to learn from educators’ on-the-ground work.
