These days it's all about change and how well you adapt to it.

So how do you get the word out about your business or career?

Change is inevitable  adjustment is important.

For instance once upon a time to advertise your business there was a telephone directory called The Yellow Pages.

And to go out and meet other people for business development or career advancement there were chambers of commerce and various professional organizations.

There's still radio, TV and newspapers for advertising or promotion as well as fund-raising functions where you can dress up, go meet people and make contributions to a good cause.

You've no doubt noticed social media is robust and networking groups are multiplying.

Meetups are abound and they're everywhere on every subject.

However, the shopping/buying experience has changed dramatically and there's still much, much more change to come.

For you to best get the word out about your company, products, services or career, come meet people face-to-face over breakfast with us any Wednesday morning.

We'll teach you how to craft a memorable introduction and get you noticed as Featured Speaker, Motivational Speaker and/or Business Showcase.

All very effective and very inexpensive.

On This Day In History - August 21st
1831
Acting on visions from God, Virginia plantation slave Nat Turner and seven supporters begin an armed insurrection that will last two days, rally at least 70 more recruits to the cause, result in the reported deaths of 60 whites, and end in Turner's capture and hanging.
1883
A humid summer day turns tragic as an F5 tornado bears down on Rochester, Minnesota. After caring for casualties in an area with no hospital, Dr. William Mayo and his sons will be inspired to team with local nuns and open a medical facility that evolves into the world-renowned Mayo Clinic.
1911
Vincenzo Peruggia, an employee at Paris' Louvre museum, hides in the broom closet until the museum closes, then leaves the premises with Leonardo da Vinci's ' Mona Lisa' tucked under his large coat. He'll keep the priceless masterpiece in a trunk in his apartment for two years before being captured.
1968
Hopes for a freer society are brutally quashed as Warsaw Pact tanks and hundreds of thousands of troops thunder through the street of Prague, Czechoslovakia. Democratic reforms that began seven months earlier as the ' Prague Spring' are now crushed in the iron grip of Soviet domination.

Since 1983!
A not-for-profit cooperative association of independent businesses, founded from an economic development research project on the
importance of small business development conducted by the
Houston Chamber of Commerce in the late 1970's.

With our first Co-Op meeting held March 14, 1983, to date we've worked with 65,585
people, generating 44,305 tips, leads, referrals and items of new business, generating revenues exceeding one billion dollars, founded the Entrepreneurial Development Center - Houston's first and Texas' oldest small business incubator and co-working space, First Houston Small Business Seed Capital Fund - literally the first small business seed capital fund in Houston, the Womens Business Center - first business incubator for women business owners in the country with residency space and the Virtual Business Center - the first remote business incubator in the world - all totally without public funding, grants, gifts, donations or contributions.

Co-Op companies have won virtually every award for business growth in Houston, some nationally and some even internationally.

Our Entrepreneurial Research Division conclusively demonstrated "entrepreneurship" could be taught in a classroom environment, resulting in colleges and universities, globally,
commencing entrepreneurial courses.
