Shadrach, Meschack, Abednego -
a story of great hope, from the Book of Daniel.
Beth was born and grew up near Kansas City. She is a Disciple of Christ through and through.  Besides being a lifelong DOC, many of her family members are ordained in our denomination; including her Mother, Aunts, Uncles, and her Grandfather.

Beth has a Master of Theological Studies from Brite Divinity School and works for our church as the Director of Communications for Global Ministries (actually Global Ministries is a joint ministry of the DOC and United Church of Christ (UCC).

Her service to the church includes two years in Haiti and two years in Guadeloupe (a department of France). Beth says that the Haitian people are filled with hope in spite of the seemingly endless stream of disasters both natural and human made.

When searching for a church home in 2017, Beth received an invitation to visit Allisonville Christian Church from her Boss, our own Jane Sullivan Davis. Good job, Jane! Beth found us welcoming and not overly serious (we can laugh at ourselves).

It is no surprise that Beth gives such wonderful Children’s Moments since she worked for a UCC church as the Children and Youth Minister. At ACC, she also serves as an elder. She has become such a big part of our family that it is hard to believe that she has only been with us for three years.

Outside of worship and work, Beth enjoys being creative by playing the ukulele, singing (only to herself), and cooking. She also likes to assemble puzzles and play games. Hugo, her cat, watches over all of these activities. One of her newest pursuits is spoiling her infant niece Georgia.

When you see her, ask about her new house in Irvington!
