Cindy McDonald is the second longest tenured member of the ACC choir with 43 years of singing. In addition to leading the alto section, she also for many years assisted the basses in getting their notes and entrances (Cindy LOL). She sang with the Lawrence Central High School choir and was also a member of the drill team (the Honey Bears).

She met her husband Mike in high school, and they were married 51 years ago, about a year after she graduated (you do the math). She joined the Disciples of Christ after her marriage. In her thirties, she went to IUPUI and graduated in 1991 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She worked mostly in nursing homes, went part time two years ago, and retired in November. A lifetime resident of Lawrence Township, she now lives in Noblesville with Mike and their dog Georgia near their sons Nick, project manager at Eli Lily, and T J who works for a specialty wheelchair company. Nick’s twin sons will miss their high school graduation this spring because of the pandemic. Cindy helps care for T J’s two young children. She enjoys cooking, sewing, and reading British mysteries. In recent years, her hair has turned pink!
