“We try to live by the three C’s:
Compassion, Communication, and Compromise.”
-Paul & Betty
Betty and Paul Kaiser tell their stories below. Here is a little additional information about them. Paul grew up in the Chicago area. Betty grew up in Indiana and her father was a minister until she was in the fourth grade. Here are their stories in their own words:

Hi! I’m Paul Kaiser!

I was raised in Chicago in a Catholic family of five sisters and one brother. In fact, I was being groomed for the priesthood, but when I found out it meant celibacy, I said, “What? Never?” My older brother made up for it and became a working brother in the Order of St. Augustine.

My background is in sales, and I’ve had many interesting jobs over the years, including American Express, Deloitte Touche, and Follet College Stores. I’m currently working part time at Sur La Table helping with their cooking classes.
I have one lovely daughter, Rachel, who is a rheumatologist. She and her husband, Yves, live in Potomac, Maryland. They’ve given me three grandchildren, Alex, Sabine, and Corinne.

I love to cook! In fact, I cook most of the meals. Betty would rather bake breads and desserts. I also enjoy traveling, gardening, putzing in the garage, and doing projects in and around the house. What I really love about Allisonville Christian Church (ACC) is how sincere, welcoming, and inclusive the people are.

I’m Betty Danner Kaiser!. I’m the middle of six children. My mom, Pat Bondeson, and younger sister, Joan Friese, are also members of ACC. I’m a retired Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) second grade teacher. I loved teaching, but I love retirement even more!

My late husband Chris Danner and I had four children - Beau, Bree, Paige and Tess. Tess and Trevor live here and have two little boys, Miles and Aram. I love ‘em to pieces!

Paul and I met six years ago. Chris’s brother, Mark, with whom he worked, introduced us. It was like at first sight. We’ve been married almost five years. He is a wonderful man! He does it all and does it well!

I love reading, baking, euchre and traveling. Which of these have I NOT done?:
A. sky diving
B. parasailing
C. cage diving with sharks
D. spelunking

If you guessed A you’re correct. C’mon, who’d jump out of a perfectly good airplane??

What I love most about ACC, in no particular order - singing traditional songs, Diane’s sermons, shopping for college care packages, fellowship, social activities, and hugging my friends, which I can’t wait to do again!
