Dear UFCW Local 1776 Members,

I am writing to inform you that the company has agreed to pay all hourly workers an additional $1.00 per hour “appreciation bonus” for the holiday season. This new pay program comes after lengthy discussions with the company and in coordination with our sister local, the Ohio-based UFCW Local 880.

Additionally, the company agreed to pay a minimum $.50 per hour bonus in January and February of 2021. The company is suspending the current hourly bonus program on October 31st.

The new “appreciation bonus” of $1.00 per hour will be paid for all hours worked between November 1st 2020 and January 2nd 2021 by hourly workers. The $.50 “appreciation bonus” will be paid for hours worked in January and February 2021. The bonuses will be paid in a lump sum.

Right now, we are experiencing a spike in Covid-19 cases and deaths and it is important to continue observing the safety protocols: wearing a mask or faceshield, washing your hands and keeping a social distance. Our number one concern is and always will be your safety on the job.

This new pay program is a direct recognition of the hard work you are doing as front line, essential workers. If you have any questions please contact your union representative.

Be safe!

Yours in solidarity,

Wendell Young IV
President
