HP Debate has entered the busiest stretch of the 2023-2024 season.

Competing at three tournaments in a five-week period is a grueling test for any team, but these Giants have shown that they are more than ready for the challenge. On Saturday, they traveled to Wheeling High School for the season’s third ICDA tournament. Despite having only 22 varsity debaters available, HPHS had another outstanding day!!! Not only did the team take home the 2nd place sweepstakes trophy, but several Giants were recognized for the individual accomplishments on the debate floor:

Eli Levin: 3rd in chamber, best PO

Jim Shivak: best PO

Kobi Silver: 3rd in chamber, best legislation

Nathan Sukenik: 3rd in chamber, best PO, best legislation

Please congratulate our team for their hard work and ongoing success. And stay tuned --- Glenbrooks and ICDA 4 are just around the corner!
