Paint the Town Blue event coming soon!

We are currently planning this event for Sept. 23rd from 3pm - 6pm. 

All sports teams and clubs are invited to participate! This is a great event to really show School Spirit within the community and to get everyone involved in this wonderful team building activity!

Students are asked to wear their HP Gear!!!


Join Philosophy Club on Wednesday, Sept. 6 for our first meeting of the year as we discuss "Barbie v. Oppenheimer." We will meet in A320 from 3:15-4:30. All are welcome; come share your own philosophy or listen to others as we discuss the philosophy of summer's most-hyped blockbuster movies! There will be food!

Do you like trivia? Do you dream of being on Jeopardy? Come join Scholastic Bowl! We are a flexible club that meets on most Wednesdays and has occasional meets against other schools. Our first practice is September 6th at 3:15 in room A304. There will be food :) We hope to see you there!

Athletics

Fall Conditioning for athletes not in a fall sport will begin on Monday 9/11. There will be an informational meeting about Fall Conditioning for athletes not in a fall sport on Friday, September 8th before school at 7:45 A.M. in the indoor track. This is open to students who are currently not participating in a fall sport. Workouts will be approximately an hour each day after school in the indoor track. Students must register online on RSchool and have an up-to-date physical before participating. Contact Mr. Deutsch for questions.



Counseling & Postsecondary Counseling

Attention Seniors: Any seniors with questions related to college applications, college essays, transcript requests, etc. are encouraged to visit the CRC (A223) during their study halls/lunch periods. Please feel free to reach out to Mr. Becker, CRC Coordinator, with any questions: rbecker@dist113.org.


There will be a COLLEGE APPLICATION WORKSHOP for seniors on Wednesday, September 27 from 7:30am - 8:45am in the Counseling Resource Center. This is an excellent opportunity for students to receive assistance with applications and essays from counselors and college counselors. There is no formal programming at this workshop. No RSVP necessary and students can stay for as little or as long as they'd like.


FINANCIAL AID MEETING: Understanding Financial Aid & Scholarships

Class of 2024 and Parents/Guardians:

The District 113 postsecondary counseling teams will host an important Financial Aid Meeting on Thursday, September 14 at 6:30 pm. Any family concerned about paying for college should attend this meeting.
