Tickets for this year's Fall Play, Radium Girls, are on sale! Radium Girls is based on the true story of female laborers who were poisoned and killed by their factory's radium-based paint. The female dial painters fight for their day in court, and audiences watch these young women battle not only with their greedy employers, but with their own family and friends, who fear that their campaign for justice will backfire. 9/26 - Window Painting in the cafe with Dr. S as D.J.

9/27 - Barbie Wall for photos in the cafe for staff and students along with D.J. FLyTy in the cafe and dance competition

9/28 - Game Day! We will have games in the courtyard (weather permitting).

9/29 - Pep Rally, Charity Drive BBQ with D.J. FlyTy in the courtyard, HOCO Football Game!

Giant Leaders is a program open to all HPHS students. Anyone interested in building their leadership capacity should fill out this form:  Giant Leaders Sign-up.  The first Giant Leaders meeting is Wednesday, 9/27 at 8:00am in H210.  Feel free to reach out to Paul Harris with any questions


A few of our athletic programs made memories this weekend by taking field trips and watching some high level competition. Friday night, our Girls Volleyball Program traveled to Evanston to watch Northwestern play the Wisconsin Badgers. The Badgers are ranked #1 in the country in Division 1 volleyball. Boys Soccer watched the Chicago Fire and the New England Revolution play to a 2-2 tie at Soldier Field on Saturday night. And Girls Field Hockey watched Northwestern defeat Princeton on Sunday morning. Northwestern's team is the #2 ranked Field Hockey team in the nation.

Counseling & Postsecondary Counseling

There will be a COLLEGE APPLICATION WORKSHOP for seniors on Wednesday, September 27 from 7:30am - 8:45am in the Counseling Resource Center. This is an excellent opportunity for students to receive assistance with applications and essays from counselors and college counselors. There is no formal programming at this workshop. No RSVP necessary and students can stay for as little or as long as they'd like.


NACAC is proud to announce that our upcoming National College Fair on Saturday, September 30 will be taking place at McCormick Place - Lakeside Center, Hall D1. This is a great opportunity for you and your students to connect face-to-face with representatives from hundreds of colleges and universities. All high school students, transfer students, and families are welcome to register for this complimentary event. Click here for more
