SPRING IS IN THE AIR
Gibault Children's Services hopped into Spring with quite the bounce! Spring brings renewal, growth, hope, and rejuvenation. Therefore, we are humbled to announce we have opened a private secure unit on the Terre Haute campus! The Kunkler North Dormitory will house male youth ages 11-15 years of age. We strive to meet the needs of our county, surrounding counties, and our community. By providing this new dormitory, an expansion of our services of life-changing opportunities through mental health counseling, treatment, therapy, and long-term residential care for children will meet the identified growth that is needed at Gibault. To learn more, please contact Admissions at THAdmissions@Gibault.org or 812-299-1156 and ask for Admissions.

A NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL CUFFMAN
Children at the Terre Haute Campus of Gibault Children's Services have been very busy working on their academic success. Third graders have successfully completed their IREAD (Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination) reading assessment based on Indiana Academic Standards. Currently, students are completing additional required state testing. In April, ILEARN (Indiana's Learning Evaluation and Assessment Readiness Network) testing for grades 3-8 will be conducted. Mr. Cuffman is very happy with the student focus to ensure all testing requirements are completed!

With the growing size of ABLE (Autism Spectrum Behavioral Learning Environment) population, there will be classroom adjustments. This decision provides accommodations to add space for the students' comfort and optimizing program services.
With the addition of Kunkler North Dormitory, Mr. Cuffman and the faculty eagerly anticipate welcoming a growing number of new students. In response to this exciting expansion, Mr. Cuffman is thrilled to announce the addition of a brand-new classroom, further enhancing opportunities for learning and community growth!

A YEAR IN FUNDRAISING INSPIRATION-IN ONE DAY
RAISE Catholic Regional Fundraising Workshops provided their annual training in March on Purdue University-Fort Wayne campus. Missy Rohrbach, Fund Development Coordinator for Gibault Children's Services, participated as part of her new onboarding with the Fund Development Department. This fundraising inspirational day allowed Missy to join fellow Catholic fundraising professionals for a day of education
and networking.
In one day, an all-inclusive opportunity included annual fund planning, major gifts training, and campaign essentials. These components are adding to the toolbox of Fund Development. The team can move forward with confidence, expanding focus, and continual relationship building opportunities across the community and the Knights of Columbus in support of the mission centered focus of life- changing opportunities for Gibault's youth.
Would you like to learn more of how to support our youth at Gibault Children's Services? Please contact Director of Fund Development, Melissa Reed at

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL #3228
This year marks the 60th Annual Spaghetti Luncheon with the Knights of Columbus #3228 of hosting Gibault Children's Services Terre Haute Campus students and staff. This year, 35 students, including the Fund Development and Marketing Teams, attended. The opportunity also allowed the children to extend their field trip to the Indianapolis Zoo!
Each stop on the map allowed the children to be transported in style with an experience of comfort while riding on a Turner bus. The day was packed by wildlife observation, community engagement, social interactions, and dining over a delicious lunch. Each year the anticipation of being able to visit the K of C #3228 Fatima Hall for the Spaghetti Luncheon can never come quick enough! Their generosity always allows the children to benefit from their council after the annual adventure is over through their charitable donation too. How do you know if the spaghetti hit the spot for the kiddos? When the boys and girls raised their hands and asked for THIRDS!!

Fish Fry Season is a wrap!

LUGGAGE IS NOT ALWAYS
USED FOR VACATIONS
An unspoken experience children of Gibault Children's Services encounter is a lack of luggage needed for their discharge from our program services. Ensuring we provide a sense of dignity upon their departure supports their comfort level during a very important transition. We are in need of new and gently used luggage pieces for our youth. Please consider this small token of support that will make certain each child is in possession of appropriate baggage to carry their belongings.
