Our updated Gibault website is LIVE. You can now access our newsletters, Messengers, and Annual Reports directly from the site. Please go to www.gibault.org to stay connected with our campuses.

Can you believe Christmas is in a few months?

The Christmas Wish List can be found on our website under the donate tab – In-Kind Donations – Christmas Gifts. Please email melissa.reed@gibault.org to arrange for pick up or delivery of your gifts. We will also be at the mid-year Indiana Knights of Columbus meeting in French Lick, Indiana, on December 8th & 9th to collect any donations. Thank you for helping us make this a bright Christmas our children will never forget.

This offer from our generous donor ends November 1st, 2023, so please consider a gift today. You can visit the website at www.gibault.org and make a contribution through the donate page to help us reach our goal. Thank you in advance for helping us make a difference.

Children from our Gibson West dormitory on the Terre Haute Campus joined the corporate staff to make witches hats to celebrate this spooky season. All enjoyed much laughter, a giant mess, but more importantly, lasting memories with our kids.

Dave and Pam DeKoninck have been long time friends of Gibault Children’s Services, sharing with us their time, talents, and treasures. Recently they donated a golf cart to ensure all guests on our Campagna Campus can enjoy the grounds when they come for a visit. Pictured is Dave with our Director of Maintenance Jon Effner seated in the new golf cart.

Miss Finn, Art Teacher on our Terre Haute Campus, worked with the children on their Dragon Eye projects made out of Crayola Model Magic. The art projects are on display in the Welcome Center for all to see upon

visiting campus.

The Life-Changing Ladies, our Women in Philanthropy group, collectively raised $4,850 through membership to support innovative projects submitted by Gibault staff. This year they funded an expansion of the arcade, bible games, a display case for art projects, and supplies for the upcoming National Tie Dye Day. We love the diverse opportunities this group creates to improve the lives of those we serve.

The 38th Annual Gibault Envoy Conference was well attended with guests from all over the state. Our goal was for attendees to have more interactions with the kids and staff, as well as to learn about the programs we offer our children, adults, families, and communities. Highlights of the conference included: the “Taste of Gibault”, eye opening breakout sessions, touring the campus, and questions and answers about our recent merger with Campagna Academy in Schererville, Indiana. Pictured on the left is Mark Hancock from K of C Council #1252, Seymour who was awarded Envoy of the Year. Pictured on the right is Mr. Harold Baker from council #1808, Corydon who was presented with a Gibault Coin. The dedication of these men to our children and

mission is a great blessing.

A special thank you to Loogootee Knights of Columbus Council #732 for sending a very generous donation to our children. A representative of the council was unavailable to join us at our Envoy conference but wanted to ensure they were still able to participate in the

Parade of Checks.

The Indiana Knights of Columbus Bright Council #14862 and Lawrenceburg Council #1231hosted their annual chicken fry on our Terre Haute campus. This is a very special event that staff and students look forward to every year. Pictured are members who spent the day with us providing a meal for our children and staff.

Children, staff, and friends gathered to celebrate Fr. Campagna’s birthday at the annual Campagna Spaghetti Dinner. The event was a great success. Victoria Harper, Food Services Supervisor, and her staff made a delicious spread including a variety of lovely desserts.

We are in need of new or gently used suitcases

for our children.

Most of our children arrive on campus with only the clothes on their backs or their belongings in a trash bag. While in our care, we make sure they have everything they need including clothing, bedding, and personal hygiene items. Upon discharge, we provide a suitcase or backpack of their choosing. We are grateful for any donation of backpacks and suitcases to help us achieve this goal. Thank you in advance.

We strive to build our team with people who are energetic and motivated to help influence a positive change. Ashlyn Henry and Tre Stephens attended an all major’s career fair at Indiana State University. Please the career page on our website at www.gibault.org to view all career opportunities on both campuses.

Communication Error

A communication error has occurred. We want to clarify that when making donations to Gibault Children’s Services, aside from a specific appeal or project, the money will go into a general fund to provide for all children in our care. This will ensure that all children are provided life-changing opportunities on both campuses. Please contact Melissa Reed if you have any questions.
