OCTOBER 2025 NEWSLETTER

We hosted our 40th Annual Gibault Envoy Conference

last month and it was an amazing event!

Our opening ceremony included an update and Q & A session with our President/CEO Michele Madley. She shared deeper insight into the demands and challenges we face as well as our accomplishments and victories over the last year. In addition, Indiana Knights of Columbus State Deputy Gil Spisak discussed the collaboration between the Knights and Gibault and how the relationship is so meaningful to both sides. He encouraged all guests to stay connected with our children and mission by subscribing to our newsletter and visiting our campuses frequently. Our Parade of Checks this year was astonishing. The Knights should be very proud of their hard work and dedication to the children in our care. Gibault is proud to be the #1 charity of the Indiana Knights of Columbus.

After the morning events, we enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch with the Taste of Gibault as dessert. Following lunch, some of our kids participated in art therapy and the pieces created were on display with a child explaining the

assignment to help guests better understand the paintings.

This year, we invited children and their families to join us for lunch and special activities. We had family games, sensory activities, an education open house, guided tours, and opened our memorabilia room for our visitors to explore. It was heartwarming to see our Knights interacting with our youth and their families. Great connections were made as our staff engaged with all

our guests and provided them with a positive experience.

A special thank you to all staff who made the day truly special for all.

Below are some photos of the beautiful day.

Staff Fall Festival

The Staff Fall Festival will be held Board weekend in October. Gibault uses all of our Visa points accumulated throughout an entire year to purchase gifts for our staff raffle at the staff recognition meal. This is a great event for our staff and families alike.

This year's Terre Haute Campus Trunk or Treat will be on October 31st. This will be a fun Friday as the kids will also have a Fall Festival to celebrate Halloween. The outside of the dorms will be decorated, and the older kids will pass out candy to the little ones. The kids are looking forward to this special treat.

Staff Recognition

Campagna Campus has hired an interim director, Ashley Nicoson. Ashley has been an employee with Gibault Terre Haute as well as Gibault Campagna

and is adjusting well to this new role. Congratulations Ashley!

Several Terre Haute therapists attended the IARCA Conference in September. Not only was it a great conference, but it allowed them to maintain

their yearly ethics training for CEU credits.

What is CEO Michele Madley up to?

If you attended Envoy, you know Michele is always on the move. This month, Michele will attend the Maureen Braun Cocktail Reception on October 14th supporting the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

The Welcome Center bulletin board got a face lift in anticipation of Halloween. The kids had a great time making their own pumpkins to decorate the board. If you happen to visit us this month, stop by the Welcome Center and take a look at our pumpkin patch.

Facilities Update

The Terre Haute Campus will soon open a dorm for

private secure admissions on our campus,

Gibault has completed successful state licensing visits at both campuses. Thanks to all staff who ensure we are providing life-changing opportunities.

McGivney Health Care Center, Gibault's nursing home, completed their annual survey without any abuse or neglect tags which is always very promising. Again, many thanks to all staff who ensure that our at-risk elderly

are receiving the best care.
