LIFE-CHANGING OPPORTUNITIES
Gibault Children's Services offers residential programs for youth ranging in ages from 6-20. All children placed at Gibault work with a master's level therapist who conducts regular individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Gibault has adopted a Stages of Change Model which is a collaborative approach where children are encouraged to take a leadership role in their own treatment by identifying those issues they want to change and taking ownership of their treatment process.
Many departments on campus have been working diligently behind the scenes ensuring the youth are receiving the best continued care. The Admissions Department has welcomed two new staff members! Additionally, an intern from Indiana State University has joined their team, Hannah, BSW. Clinical Services is excited to welcome two new interns as well, Travis and Suzanne. Travis is in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Indiana State University and Suzanne is in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Holy Cross kicked off the 2026-2027 school year and is now "in the books" with two new teachers to the Team; Mr. Lavely and Ms. Carr. Students are getting settled into their regular school year routine with a modified schedule of morning and afternoon opportunities, which is most likely to follow last year's trend of reducing formal disciplines. Additionally, we would like to welcome Mrs. Brewer as our new principal. We wish Mr. Cuffman much success on his next endeavor of continuing to ensure
children meet their potential.
For over 100 years, Gibault has provided life-changing opportunities for children, adults, families and communities. If you would like to contact the Admissions Department to learn more, please complete our inquiry form through the link below:

AUGUST STATE FAIR OUTING
During the month of August, McGivney Healthcare Center residents had the opportunity to attend the Indiana State Fair as part of our ongoing community outings. Fourteen residents attended with the support of seven staff and four volunteers, which allowed residents to enjoy a fun and meaningful day in the community. This outing took place during the State Board survey, which enhanced the months happenings, ensuring no activities during survey were missed. Our continued committed to maintaining our residents’ quality of life and normal routines is crucial.
In addition to the State Fair outing, our residents continued to participate in Joy Rides, Fast Food Friday and other community activities throughout the month. We are proud of our staff for volunteering their time and making sure our residents continue to have meaningful experiences, even during a very busy and demanding time for the facility.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Thanks Mike Bier, organizer of Hackfest 30 Golf Outing, and Bob from Kelsey Chevrolet, closest to the pin sponsor, for donating $500.00 to Gibault’s pickleball court project. Bill McDonald, Gibault Trustee Emeritus made the arrangements and promoted the life-changing opportunities Gibault provides.

Field Agent for the Knights of Columbus Bradley Schaefer, District Deputy Jim Dohogne, and Membership Director Steve Jung invited Gibault to participate in the 160th Anniversary Celebration of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in Newburgh, Indiana. It was a blessing to share fun, food and fellowship with the congregation and talk about the unique relationship between Gibault and the Indiana Knights of Columbus.

On August 22nd, Newburgh Council #8746 hosted a cookout for the kids, providing a delicious meal and spending meaningful one-on-one time with them. Many smiles and full bellies provided evidence this annual event is very special to Gibault Terre Haute Campus. The kitchen staff without a pause ensured the event ran smoothly! | | |
Gibault Northwest Campus would like to take this time to extend a very special thank you the Highland Knights of Columbus #16008 for their donation of bottle caps from a previous project collection. Because of their efforts, Gibault is able to donate hundreds of bottle caps to the Lake County Solid Waste Management District to create community benches in Schererville.
Though Gibault will no longer be accepting bottle caps, we are proud this one project will serve many community children in the county we serve!

FATHER CAMPAGNA BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AND SPAGHETTI DINNER
To no surprise, the annual Spaghetti Dinner to celebrate Father Campagna's birthday was a hit. All youth residents were eligible to attend this joyous occasion! Their experience included an entrance through a large balloon arch, decorated dining tables for a special occasion experience, a delicious spaghetti dinner with Italian sausage provided by Knight Tom Brown, and birthday cake! The Knights and their guests who attended also enjoyed the celebration which included an opportunity to win a raffle basket, thanks to Knight Brian Peterson and his wife Jenny. A detailed update on Gibault happenings was provided by Rob Sturm, Gibault Children's Services Vice President, and a blessing by way of a touching song by Dr. Pearlette Springer, who serves on Gibault's Board of Directors, ended the evening with a sendoff.
