Joyce Wilks Love
The Saint Andrews Charitable Foundation celebrates the 2024 Class of Ageless Remarkable Saint Louisans, on September 28th. Joyce's leadership roles span across several organizations, including serving as Board President of The Green Center, a Board Member of the Presbyterian Children's Home and Services, and as former Moderator of the Presbytery of Giddings - Lovejoy. Her commitment to serving others reflects her upbringing and belief in the principle of giving back, embodying the qualities of a servant leader.

Rev. Dr. Susan Andrews
Trinity Presbyterian Church, Saint Louis and the Presbytery of Giddings Lovejoy celebrating 50 years of the ordained ministry of Rev. Dr. Susan R. Andrews, on September 29th. She has served as Moderator of the 215th PC(USA) General Assembly, Presbytery Leader of the Hudson River, was the first in the Boston Presbytery, and was the 200th ordained woman clergy in the denomination. She retired to our presbytery and has served several churches as transitional pastor and has served on the Commission on Ministry.

Faithfully Leaning into the
Last Days of the 2024 Election Season
On Thursday, October 3rd, Saint Louis University Professor Reggie Williams and Eden Professor and Director of the Walker Leadership Institute, the Rev. Dr. Dietra Wise Baker, will discuss how faithful people can engage in these last days of the 2024 election.
The event, a part of the Praxis Program at Eden Theological Seminary, aims to support people of faith in their efforts to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with their God during this pivotal election season.

Celebrating World Communion Sunday
in an Interdenominational Way

Boeuff Presbyterian Church and St. Paul's United Church of Christ would like to invite everyone to join us at Legion Park on Highway 50 in Gerald, MO. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, for our joint worship service at 10:30 AM, as we celebrate World Communion Sunday together.
We will also have a carry-in dinner immediately following our morning worship service. Please stay and have fellowship with us. All are welcome and bring your lawn chair if you like.

Presents the 2024 Haseman Lectures
We are also pleased to announce that the 2024 Haseman Lecturer October 12-13 will be the Rev. Dr. Victor Aloyo. Ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), Dr. Aloyo is the 11th President of Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA. Before being called to Columbia, Victor served as the Chief Diversity Officer and Associate Dean of Institutional Diversity and Community Engagement at Princeton Theological Seminary and as Organizing/Lead Pastor of La Iglesia Presbiteriana Nuevas Fronteras.

SEEKING CO-EDITOR
The Search Committee for the Presbyterian Women of Giddings-Lovejoy is searching for a co-editor of their newsletter entitled, The Linkletter. The co-editor will be responsible for using technology to format articles and pictures related to Presbyterian Women’s activities into a publication that can be shared throughout the Presbytery. The Linkletter is sent by email, usually on a quarterly basis. The Linkletter co-editor will attend Co-ordinating Team meetings that are held by Zoom on the third Friday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
