PRESBYTERY ASSEMBLY THIS SATURDAY

Ordered for the Gospel: Why the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Still Matters

Education Hour with

Rev. Dr. Christian Boyd

Is the Presbyterian Church still relevant? Perhaps the better question is this: Is Jesus Christ still Lord?

In Ordered for the Gospel, Rev. Dr. Christian Dominic Boyd will explore why the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) remains deeply relevant, what makes the Reformed tradition distinctive, and where renewal is needed, not for institutional survival, but for the sake of the Gospel.

Rev. Dr. Boyd serves as Pastor of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Waukesha and Stated Clerk of the Presbytery of Milwaukee. He currently serves on the General Assembly Advisory Committee on the Constitution and previously served for fourteen years on the Presbyterian–Episcopal Dialogue. Before moving to Wisconsin, he served on the staff of the Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy as the designated New Church Development pastor for New Creation in O’Fallon, Illinois.

This presentation offers a hopeful theological reflection on Christ’s lordship, the Reformed commitment to God’s sovereignty, and how our shared life and Constitution can shape us as a faithful, reforming church in every generation.
