SEEKING CO-EDITOR

The Search Committee for the Presbyterian Women of Giddings-Lovejoy is searching for a co-editor of their newsletter entitled, The Linkletter. The co-editor will be responsible for using technology to format articles and pictures related to Presbyterian Women’s activities into a publication that can be shared throughout the Presbytery. The Linkletter is sent by email, usually on a quarterly basis. The Linkletter co-editor will attend Co-ordinating Team meetings that are held by Zoom on the third Friday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. TRIENNIUM 2025 IS COMING

2025 Presbyterian Youth - TRIENNIUM

July 28-31


Get Ready! In July 2025, the Presbyterian Church (USA) will welcome thousands of its high school-age youth and their adult youth workers to Louisville, Kentucky for four days of worship, recreation, bible study, outreach, and faith formation all around the theme of “As If We Were Dreaming”. The Giddings-Lovejoy Presbytery will be sending a delegation from our churches. More information to come shortly.

First Presbyterian Union Celebrates 190 Years

First Presbyterian Church celebrated their 190th Anniversary with returning Pastors, many of their yoked-partner Pacific Presbyterian members as well as local community members. There was an amazing message, a look back at history, lunch shared and many memories made.

Prayers for Our Nation on Election Night

Tues., Nov. 5th at 5:00 pm (CT)


Join the Office of Public Witness as polls begin to close for a time of prayer centered on peace, hope, and unity for our nation this election day. This service of prayer will offer an opportunity to come together as a denomination—regardless of hoped-for outcomes—to reflect upon our shared values of faith, democracy, and social justice.

Through scripture readings, prayer, song, and silent reflection, we aim to inspire peace, hope, and unity for our nation led by Christ's example. 6:00 pm -6:30 pm ET will be streamed live on Zoom (please register below) and a recording will be posted as soon as possible for viewing as polls continue to close across the United States. Brief remarks from Rev. Laurie Anzilotti begin at 9:00 am, followed by suicide prevention training* and small group discussion. *Participants will receive a QPR certificate of completion.  A light breakfast (and lots of coffee!) will be served.

Partners in music and in life, Jennifer and Matthew Mazzoni have been performing together in venues nationally and internationally for nearly twenty years. Matt is from Pennsylvania (USA) and studied at the University of Michigan before meeting Jennifer, who is a Missouri (USA) native, at Indiana University. Combining Jennifer's "heavenly" (St. Louis Post-Dispatch) flute playing and Matthew's outstanding piano artistry, their duo was a recent prizewinner of the St. Louis Artist Presentation Society. www.mazzonimusic.com.
