A BAS Tikkun Olam/Social Action chevra initiative
Dear Congregants,

The Tikkun Olam/Social Action Chevra is once again organizing a toy and gift drive for homeless children and teens living at the Coachman Family Center in White Plains. Last year's drive was very successful; every child and teen, as well as most adults, received gifts. The gifts were a wonderful expression of caring by our community and they were so appreciated by the children and families.

Unfortunately, this year has seen a large increase in the number of homeless families living at the Coachman. We are therefore limiting our drive this year to gifts for the children, and gift cards for the teens of which there are 165 and 48 respectively. Last year, there were 92 children and 27 teens, so our generosity will be stretched this year!

Please click here to sign up to provide toys or gift cards for several children or teens at the Coachman. You can purchase the gifts locally or you can order them online, have them delivered to your home, wrap and label them.

Either way, please bring them (wrapped and labelled) to the BAS parking lot on the following dates for collection by members of the Chevra:

Sunday, 12/12
11AM to 1PM
or
Monday, 12/13
Noon to 3PM

Let’s bring some warmth and cheer to homeless young people living in our community.
